Days out
Stating that there is no shortage of things to do here in beautiful East Devon is an understatement! Within a 10 – 25 minute radius there are attractions, towns, villages, beaches, walks, bike-rides, places to eat and drink; I could go on.
The Jurrasic Coast & East Devon
Mazzard Farm is situated on East Hill, which is not only an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), but also links Mazzard Farm with the Jurassic Coast at Sidmouth, which covers 95 miles of truly stunning coastline from East Devon to Dorset, with rocks recording 185 million years of the Earth’s history.
Dartmoor National Park
Just 30 minutes drive away from Mazzard Farm, the beautiful National Park of Dartmoor opens up. Bursting with beauty and character, rugged, and offering a fantastic backdrop to walks you will remember for many years to come. Dartmoor is hugely varied. Possibly best known for its Tors, as well as the ‘wild’ ponies, sheep and cattle roaming the moors, yet the area offers so much more.
National Trust & English Heritage
Mazzard Farm is blessed with being surrounded by a good number of National Trust and English Heritage properties. So if you are members, all the more reason to come and stay with us (and don’t forget to bring your membership passes), or if you travel from abroad, order a week or two week membership pass direct from the National Trust or English Heritage websites.
Guide to East Devon
We have produced a very useful and popular, 30-page, Guide to the Area, full of ideas of things to do, places to visit, eat and drink, etc., which we e-mail to everyone enquiring about, or booking, a stay at Mazzard Farm.
We would be delighted to e-mail you a copy! Just drop us an e-mail at info@mazzardfarm.com and we'll mail you one in return.
